According to police, the victims turned out to be a 37-year-old woman and her 7-year-old daughter. The woman suffered particularly severe burns, but was fortunately rescued by medics.
Criminal proceedings for attempted murder have been opened in the case.
The 56-year-old suspect has been arrested. Given that he has an established diagnosis, he is now under strict supervision in a specialised medical institution until specialists are made aware of his state of health and a legal decision is taken.
Under current legislation, this offence is punishable by up to 15 years’ imprisonment.

The mother has been hospitalized for a month, critical condition! She’s been in a coma. Doctors said it was a miracle she stayed alive. Burns to the bone. She’s already had a couple of surgeries. More to come… Mom’s begging us to be there for her. She has no one who can help!” a social media post reads.
According to the woman who made the case public, for starters, “an unfolding couch” is needed, including “protein and vitamin supplements.”
“The bed they sleep on is totally acid burned. Including sheets, pillows, duvet. (…) Mommy is very weak,” the post also states.
