On March 8, 7 million lei were collected
The State Tax Service informs that, as a result of monitoring actions on 7 and 8 March 2024, collections in the HoReCa sector of about 7.2 million lei and in the flower trade of about 7.0 million lei were recorded.
It should be noted that during the above-mentioned period the activity of 30 restaurants and cafes and 69 taxpayers trading with flowers in Chisinau and Balti municipalities was monitored.
The actions carried out between 7 and 8 March were not aimed at applying sanctions, but at monitoring compliance with the legislation in force by taxpayers in the catering and flower trade sector, in order to prevent the non-payment of transactions through cash register and control equipment.
The monitoring took place throughout the working hours of the subdivisions, until the end of their working hours, with selective checks of payment slips against issued tax receipts and explanations from employees.
The State Tax Service urges all taxpayers to comply with tax legislation and issue tax receipts when paying in cash, and buyers – to ask for the receipt when purchasing products or services, thus contributing to increasing the level of compliance.
The tax authority will continue to carry out follow-up actions in all areas with a high risk of admitting cash discipline violations.
